An Arabic, Syrian Restaurant in Budapest
The AL-AMIR (in English: the prince) restaurant was first opened in Király street in 1997 and then reborn in the heart of the city in 2011. The restaurant not only shows us the tastes of Syria but its spirit as well: the Damascus hall downstairs gives us the East with its every detail and the painting on the wall next to the stairs represents the most important symbols of Syria: the original, old water wheel, the famous castle of Aleppo, as well as the gate from Damascus wich connects different religious quarters. It symbolizes respect and living together in peace. The motto invites you to be open-minded and accepting:
